If you own an alarm system for your home or business, there are a few things you should know. First of all, you are required to obtain a permit for your system. To do so, click the form icon at the bottom of this page:

- Must I register my alarm with the Davie Police Department?
- Yes. All alarm users, business as well as residence, who operate their alarm system must register.
- How do I register my alarm?
- Alarm permit forms can be obtained through the Town's Building Dep't, 6591 Orange Drive as well as the Davie Police Department, 1230 S. Nob Hill Road. - Is there a fee?
- The initial registration fee is $25.00.
- How often must my permit be renewed?
- Alarm permits for business, office, retail and other commercial users are required to be renewed on an annual basis. A renewal fee of $10.00 will be charged. Alarm permits for single-family residence, multifamily residence, houses of worship, public schools, publicy owned buildings and other non-commercial users are required to be renewed when the identity of the alarm user changes, however, current information should be provided to the Police Department when necessary. Alarm permits are not transferable.
- Do I get fined for false alarms?
- For the first and second false alarms within a 12 month period there is no fee.
For the third false alarm within any twelve month period the fine is $25.00.
For the fourth, fifth and sixth false alarm within any twelve (12) month period the fine is $50.00 per false alarm.
For the seventh and each subsequent false alarm within any twelve ( 12) month period the fine is $75.00 per false alarm.
